Future Date #4: The Return to Bohol

Rest and Relaxation in Chocolate Hills, Bohol
I just came back from a quick vacay / reunion in Cebu last weekend. Part of the group's tour was a day trip to Tagbilaran, Bohol. I just fell in love with the place all over again and want to go back there with Dodong. We actually visited Bohol 2 years ago and felt that the 3-day stay was simply not enough.
Why would I go back to Bohol for a Future Date?
The Peace and Quiet

The Tranquility of the Loboc River
I've always been the type of person to enjoy a vacation away from the crazy urban world of Metro Manila. Meaning away from the traffic, the noise, the crowds, the parties. Each vacation should bring me back to nature, peace and quiet. Bohol is one of those places that I do love. It is a stark contrast to the crazy parties and the alsmot mall-like environment of Boracay.
I know that when Dodong and I go to Bohol, we'd be able to spend real quality time to catch up on love and life without the crazy parties and mad crowds. Just Dodong and I holding hands, talking and laughing…
The Beach

White Sands of Panglao Island
Speaking about holding hands, I do love lazy strolls on the beach. Bohol, specifically Panglao Island, has powder fine white sands, which is perfect for romantic strolls.
Of course, the beach is also the perfect place to share a glass of chocolate-peanut butter banana shake. Or a chilled bottle of San Miguel Beer while watching the sunset, which is one of our favorite activities.
The last time we were there it was just to cloudy to see the sunset. So I'd love to share a Bohol sunset with Dodong beside me…
The Old Churches

The Magnificent Elaborate Dauis Church doors
Bohol is famous for its 300-400 year old Churches which are uber beautiful and romantic! The last time we were only able to visit the Dauis Church and missed all the other churches: Loboc Church (home to the world famous Loboc Children's Choir), Baclayon Church, Loon Church, Loay Church, Maribojoc Church and more.
While on the road trip to Chocolate Hills, which is a tad 30minutes away from the provincial capitol of Tagbilaran, I really noticed how many beautiful old churches Bohol has. I wished we could stop in every church to take photos but the limited time did not allow us to do so. Boo.
The Dauis Church even has a quaint cafe with a lovely seaside veranda which is perfect for a wedding reception. Our wedding reception? Hmmm…possible
Hahaha!
A sunset date in Dauis Cafe would also be perfect for Dodong and I's future date. This would definitely be part of the Bohol date itinerary
Where else in bohol is a romantic place to go?
