This is my theme song as I pack my bags unwillingly. I know I've written about this song as one of the Top 10 Long Distance Relationship anthems before. But this song so speaks to me now.
I am leaving Dubai for Manila for another vacation. A vacation with purpose. I will be fixing my papers for a more permanent stay in Dubai. It will just be for a month and I will be in Dodong's arms sooner than I think, but whoever said leaving the one you love was ever easy? Be so kind to sing this song with me…

The 7-star Hotel in Dubai, UAE
I can’t believe that my time here in Dubai is about to end. Unfortunately, I am still on my tourist visa, which allowed me an extended 70-day stay here. Since we are newly married (we got married last June 16), our marriage contract is still being processed. It is quite sad and disappointing that the processing is taking quite some time. Well, to be honest, it is expected as this is a government related document. But still, I wished it could have been processed in a more efficient manner so that I need not be separated from my husband anymore. But I guess God has plans we do not understand and this is a bump on the road with a purpose.
But this trip has given me priceless learnings about myself, marriage (I’ve written about it here, here and here) and Dubai. Honestly, I did not expect to love this place as much. But I do love it and it pains me to leave. So I leave you with some useful random do’s and don’ts should you find yourself traveling to this part of the world.

Looks fun? Not all the time. (Photo by Toto Villaruel)
Marriage is fun, lovely and down right romantic, but its not perfect.
Before getting married, my mother repeatedly told me, “You will only get to truly know a person IF and ONLY IF you live with them.” I brushed it aside, being confident that I do know Dodong like the back of my hand. Besides we’ve been together as a couple for 9 years now. 9 years seemed more than enough, but apparently not.
In the almost 2-months that we’ve been married, we sure did clash…a LOT. Let's get ready to rumble!

To be happy and in love
Hope you don’t mind if I gush about how I enjoy being married to the love of my life. Well, who doesn’t? But ever since I wanted to get married (which I do thank the Good Lord for answering my prayer), there was one thing I looked forward to doing / having / whatnot.
